Privacy Policy
Last updated July 22, 2026
CourtDraws helps local tennis groups run match night. This policy explains what information the app and this website collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain — no legalese where a plain sentence will do.
Who we are
CourtDraws (“CourtDraws,” “we,” “us”) provides a mobile app for iPhone and Android and this website at courtdraws.com. This policy covers both. If you have questions, email us at [email protected].
Information we collect
We only collect what the product needs to work. That falls into a few groups:
Account information
- Email address. You create an account with an email and password. Your password is never stored in readable form — it is hashed by our authentication provider and we never see it.
- Profile. A display name (first name, and a last name if you add one) that other members of your groups see.
Group and match data
- Groups and membership. The groups you create or join, your role in them, and the invites you generate or redeem.
- Sessions and RSVPs.Whether you’re playing a given night, the courts drawn, and who was assigned where.
- Results and stats. Match scores you or a host record, and the ratings, records, streaks, and attendance derived from them.
- Group chat.Messages you post in a group’s chat, visible to that group’s members.
Device information
To run the app reliably we process basic technical information such as your device type and operating system, and — only if you enable notifications — a push token so we can deliver reminders. We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To run match night — RSVPs, fair draws, scores, and stats.
- To let you create and join groups, and to keep your data scoped to them.
- To send transactional email (verification, password reset, email change) and, if enabled, in-app or push reminders.
- To keep the service safe, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Analytics and cookies
Website. This marketing site is a set of static pages. It does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and it sets no cookies to identify you as you browse.
App. The app stores your session and preferences on your own device so you stay signed in. We do not currently use third-party analytics SDKs. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate CourtDraws. Each processes data only to provide its service, under its own privacy terms:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and transactional email. Your account and group data are stored here, protected by row-level security so records are only ever visible to you and the groups you belong to.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and, for purchases if offered, billing. We never receive your full payment details.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this website.
- Expo — building and delivering app updates.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our live systems; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before they are overwritten. Content you contributed to a group — such as recorded match results or chat messages — may remain visible to that group after you leave, as part of its shared history.
Your rights and choices
You can, at any time:
- Access and update your profile from within the app.
- Leave a group, which removes you from its active roster.
- Delete your account, which removes your personal information as described above.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to access, port, or erase your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]and we’ll respond promptly. We will never charge you for making a request or discriminate against you for making one.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never stored in readable form. Access to your records is enforced at the database level, so your information is only ever available to you and the groups you belong to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
Children’s privacy
CourtDraws is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
International users
CourtDraws is operated from, and its data processed and stored in, the United States. If you use CourtDraws from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed there, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CourtDraws grows. When we make a material change, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of CourtDraws after an update means you accept the revised policy.
